When you submit a review, report or claim, we collect the information you provide including your email address, review content and verification materials. We do not collect this data passively — it is provided by you voluntarily.

We may also collect standard server log data including IP addresses (partially anonymised), browser type and pages visited for security and performance purposes.

2. How we use your data

  • To moderate and publish reviews you submit
  • To process profile claims and reports
  • To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
  • To improve the platform

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

3. Data retention

Review content submitted under a username is retained for as long as the review is published. Email addresses collected for verification purposes are retained for up to 12 months. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us via the report mechanism on any profile page.

4. Cookies

Course Check uses minimal session cookies required for security (CSRF protection) and authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

5. Third parties

We use Google Fonts for typography, served from fonts.googleapis.com. No personal data is sent to Google in this request beyond your IP address as part of the HTTP request.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights including access, rectification, deletion and portability of your personal data. To exercise these rights contact us via the report mechanism on any profile page.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email. The updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
